Homes Along the Shining Sea Bikeway

Construction began over 40 years ago on a piece of property owned by a now-bankrupt railroad company. Today, that small purchase has grown to a 10.7 mile rail trail stretching from North Falmouth to Woods Hole. The Shining Sea Bikeway, a reference to Katharine Lee Bates’ America the Beautiful, is used by locals and visitors alike for biking, jogging, rollerblading and enjoying a leisurely day outdoors.
