This production of THE WIZARD OF OZ at the Boston Opera House is a spectacular celebration of that classic 1939 MGM film. It’s a new, refreshed and lavish rendition of the beloved classic. Audiences young and old, seeing it for the first time or the fifth, will be dazzled by the brightly colored sets, charmed by its timeless score and enthralled with its breathtaking special effects.

January 18

This hilarious play brings murder, mystery, mayhem, and madcap adventure to the stage. William Gillette, a Broadway superstar, famous the world over for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes, has invited fellow cast members to his opulent home for a holiday dinner party. But when one of the guests winds up dead, Gillette has to summon every ounce of Sherlock to solve the mystery.

January 25

How is the body transformed by the technical wonders of lighting and costume? How do artistic collaborators create ideas, and then how do the trained bodies, the dancers fit into these ideas? What comes first? Find out on The Z Stage where you will hear dance experts, watch video performances, and have a glass of wine! It’s like a book group for dance!
