2016 New Year’s Eve Events

Provincetown:

Ring in the New Year in Provincetown as part of there First Light festivities, a multi-day extravaganza all across town. The Crown & Anchor will also have their 2nd annual First Light Provincetown celebration complete with shows, events, and a new year’s eve dance party called RESOLUTION 2017 with Resident DJ Chris Racine.

Chatham:

First Night Chatham  is a family-friendly, alcohol-free celebration of the Arts, with entertainment and activities for children and adults all day from noon until the midnight fireworks.

Harwich:

Is a low key evening with friends more your style? Then head to the Cape Sea Grille in Harwich to take advantage of their delectable New Years Eve menu.

Barnstable:

Dancing divas won’t want to miss the Cape Codder Resort’s New Years Eve event. Featuring Cape Cod and South shore’s best dance band, the Moonlighters, and a midnight champagne toast, this is sure to be the party of the (new) year!

Sandwich:

First Night Sandwich “Town of Giants” will celebrate its fifth annual event on Saturday, December 31,  from 4 to 9 pm. This New Year’s Eve non-alcoholic family festival of the arts and multicultural activities, musical presentations, and live performances is located in venues both inside and outside in and around Sandwich Village.

Falmouth:

Sea Crest Beach Hotel New Years Eve Party A gorgeous setting with gourmet food and generous amounts of laughter and fun, the Sea Crest Beach Hotel is the perfect place to ring in the New Year. Featuring live music, a full buffet, and plenty of dancing, this event promises to be a night you won’t forget.

Nantucket:

The Nantucket Hotel Gala Their 2016 New Year’s Eve Ball theme is Disco, a la “Saturday Night Fever.” The hotel will be transformed into a 1970s-era discotheque. Like its predecessors, it’s sure to be a one-of-a-kind event.

Martha’s Vineyard:

The Harbor View Hotel New Years Eve Celebration! Their 6th Annual New Year’s Eve Celebration, complete with fireworks, is the largest celebration on Martha’s Vineyard and sells out quickly. 

New Bedford:

New Bedford area residents and visitors are invited to enjoy an evening full of free family-friendly programming on New Year’s Eve in Downtown New Bedford’s Seaport Cultural District to bid farewell to 2016 and ring in the New Year! Program highlights include fire eaters, stilt walkers, an ice sculpture, live music, and delicious food.

Boston:

First Night Boston has been a cherished tradition and a signature event. It has been a successful New Year’s Eve celebration of artistic performances, the wonders of the season and the beginning of a new year. In keeping with this fantastic Boston tradition, the First Night celebration in 2017 will continue to be free and open to all. Entertainment and special attractions will be focused in Copley Square, and the Boston Common.
