With the summer winding down and the children heading back to school, it is a great time to experience something new. September is a perfect month filled with interesting, off-beat events, festivals and fall fun. Here are some of our favorite September events.
September Events
September 1 – Onset Beach Kite Festival
Join us in celebration for the 4th Annual Onset Beach Kite Festival. Build-a-kite station for the kids by donation and kites for sale! Live kite flying demonstrations! Fun for the whole family! Feel free to bring your own kites.
September 9 – Sherborn Summer Brewfest
As many as 20 local brewers are expected to be serving their products accompanied by a variety of backyard barbecue food. Entertainment from Moore Brothers Band, a highly popular local band, will complete the experience.
September 9 – Cambridge Carnival
The free Cambridge Carnival features a 12:30 p.m. parade of revelers in colorful handmade costumes dancing to a steel band, a stage for world music and local bands, a kids’ fest, international foods, and craft vendors.
September 23 – Truro Grape Stomp & Music Fest
Join Truro Treasures for the weekend closing party that has become the event of the season! Bring your beach chairs and blankets and sip away, and enjoy live music from 2pm-6pm. Get your dancing shoes (or bare feet) ready! The annual Grape Stomp will begin at approximately 3pm, with the children going in first.
