Honoring International Women’s Day

Honored every year since 1910, International Women’s Day is an official holiday in more than 27 countries and has been recognized by the United Nations since 1975. Here at Robert Paul Properties, we are blessed to work with more than 60 passionate, hard-working women who constantly put their clients first and have played a vital role in our success as a company.

Here, we spotlight some of our female agents who share stories of their careers in real estate and the many successes and challenges it has brought.

Barbara Hussey | Falmouth Office International Women's Day - Barbara Hussey

“I came to real estate as a single mom raising three children.  Flexibility in my work and being my own boss was very important to me.  As a young mother with many working years ahead of me, I joined Robert Paul because I wanted to be with a company that treated our industry as a profession where I could grow my business.”

Danielle Delaney | Dennis OfficeInternational Women's Day - Danielle Delaney

“I started in real estate as an administrative assistant and quickly fell in love with the fast paced environment!  I knew from a younger age that I wanted to own my own business & be my own boss. I have found that real estate fulfilled those areas.

There is nothing I love to see more than a happy client sitting next to me at the closing table! A challenge for me is always finding the right home that perfectly aligns with each client. But when it all comes together, it’s a very exciting moment.”

Kathy Deerman | Osterville OfficeInternational Women's Day - Kathy Deerman

“I chose Real Estate as my profession over 35 years ago. I loved the challenge of each day bringing a new opportunity and the ever evolving industry has not let me down. Technology has radically changed the process of listing and selling homes but the basics of good, honest hard work and effort stays the same.”

Amy Whiteside | Barnstable OfficeInternational Women's Day - Amy Whiteside

“One of the things I like best about being in real estate is the flexibility it allows me with my children. Having two busy teenagers, I am always running one of them to sports practice or a doctor’s appointment. Being able to make my own schedule is something I am grateful for.”

Christine Young | Barnstable OfficeInternational Women's Day - Christine Young

“I chose real estate as my career because it’s a business built on relationships, conversations and connection. It is true that the potential in real estate to have a lucrative career is very appealing, but that’s not going to keep you in this business. It’s a career that is a lifestyle. You don’t ever “clock out”. I love the challenge as well as ultimately the gratification of finding the perfect home for my clients. Purchasing a home is an emotional, personal and financial investment and I’m grateful to be part of such an important process.”

Kathy Craig | Osterville Office International Women's Day - Kathy Craig

“Everyday and every transaction is different. I’ve always enjoyed working with people and building relationships with them. It is a great career for me to have while raising a family, working as an independent contractor with good support from my company!”

Emily Clark, General Sales Manager International Women's Day - Emily Clark

“Robert Paul Properties is proud to have so many strong women on the team. This is a great opportunity to celebrate women in business and we wanted to acknowledge all the women who help make this such a successful company, and a great place to work. Thank you all!”
