Films Festivals and Home Theaters for Movie Buffs

Yesterday kicked off the 18th annual Provincetown Film Festival, one of many film festivals across Massachusetts this year. The five day festival will spotlight independent films across many genres and honor director Ang Lee and actress Cynthia Nixon.

If you can’t make it to Provincetown, there is still time to plan ahead for the Nantucket Film Festival (6/22-6/27), Woods Hole Film Festival (7/30-8/6), and Arlington International Film Festival (10/27-10/30).

Both the Nantucket and Woods Hole festivals will present over 100 films, allowing you to choose those that are the most interesting to you.  In addition to screening films at these events, participants can choose to watch panel discussions, attend workshops and special events, and even meet with some of the minds behind the movies!
